Testimonies
My son has been at Cavell Avenue Preschool for a week long summer camp and now for regular preschool and he absolutely loves it. On non-school days, he keeps begging me to take him anyways! He has learned so much already and grown in his social skills. Kirsten is fabulous with the kids - gentle, kind, extremely creative and so knowledgeable on how to engage kids of various ages. I can't say enough great things about our experience here.

Kirsten has been a God-send. Our 2 and a half year-old girl with attachment issues breaks into a huge smile when she walks in to preschool for her 3 hour stay three times a week. She surprises us with art, baked goods, new words, and drastic, for her, new social skills. When she was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder, Kirsten read up on it, discussed it with us, and developed stations that fit her specific needs. The environment is welcoming and our little girl just loves the other kids. Kirsten keeps us informed and our daughter is happy and learning. We appreciate Kirsten's work very deeply.

\We have two sons, aged 4.5 and 16 months who have attended Kirsten's preschool, camps, and after school programs. Her manner is lovely, always calm and engaging, and creative beyond belief. Our eldest son raves about all the things he gets to create, and especially loves her baking, cooking, and painting sessions. The younger one has made a seamless transition from mommy's care to Kirsten's care. The fact that she's around the corner is a huge bonus, but more so, we value her teaching approach and love that our kids are so happy and inspired.

Kirsten Treichel is a committed childcare provider who, for four years running, organized and operated our son’s favourite summer camp. Kirsten has an unparalleled ability to create community among children based on empathy and mutual respect. The programs she created for children relied upon arts, literacy, inquiry-based learning, and cooperation. She is a kind and compassionate support for children and families.
